One of my absolute favorite dishes for breakfast is french toast. Simply because it’s so simple to make and tastes so damn delicious. It’s that sort of dish that makes me spring up from bed on a sunny Sunday morning and decide to cook. Yes, and top that with maple syrup, and you’re gonna be happy as a bee.
FRENCH TOAST (Makes 6 slices)
Ingredients:
1) 6 slices of bread (the kind that comes square and cut up)
2) 3 eggs
3) 1 – 2 tablespoons of sugar
Steps:
1) Crack the eggs and use a fork to whip them in an open bowl
2) Add 1 – 2 tablespoons of sugar, depending on how sweet you like it
3) Soak the bread slices one by one, making sure every part of the surface is well covered
4) Fry the bread slices in a non-stick pan, and when one side is just turning golden brown, flip it over
5) Serve warm, either plain, or with a bit of butter and drizzle with maple syrup
