Funnel Cake

Ingredients

Ingredients: – Flour – Xanthan gum – Cornstarch – Baking powder – Salt – Egg whites – Vanilla extract – Buttermilk – Maple syrup – Vegetable oil – Powdered sugar – Bacon

Step 1:  Whisk dry ingredients

Step 2:  Whip egg whites and vanilla

Step 3:  Add buttermilk and flour syrup to flour mixture

Step 4:  Fold in whipped egg whites

Step 5:  Add bacon bits (if using)

Step 6:  Transfer batter to piping bag

Step 7:  Pipe batter in zigzag pattern into hot oil

Step 8:  Cook until golden and crispy

Step 9:  Remove from oil and set aside

Step 10:  Sprinkle powdered sugar over
