Irish Brown Bread INGREDIENTS

Ingredients:  -Brown rice flour -Millet flour -Sorghum flour -Baking soda -Baking powder -Sunflower oil -Psyllium husk powder -Maple syrup  -Dairy-free buttermilk

Step 1:  Preheat oven to 350F and line a cast iron skillet or baking sheet with parchment paper.

Step 2:  Combine the flours, psyllium husk powder, baking soda, and baking powder. Whisk well to combine.

Step 3:  Add maple syrup, DF buttermilk, and oil to dry ingredients.   Mix well to get a thick but homogeneous dough.

Step 4:  Shape the dough into a ball and place into skillet or pan.

Step 5:  Cut a deep cross on top of dough with a smooth knife.

Step 6:   Bake until golden brown on top

Step 7:   Let cool completely on a wire rack before slicing.

Tips/Tricks:   *Substitute millet flour for sorghum flour, amaranth flour, or buckwheat flour. *Psyllium husk powder is the substitute for gluten in this gluten-free recipe.
