Homemade Almond Meal


Need almond flour in a recipe but don’t have it on hand? No worries. With just raw almonds, 5 minutes, a blender or food processor, and a sieve, you can make your own homemade almond meal – a cheaper and quicker alternative to store-bought almond flour.


  • 1 1/4 cup raw almonds


  1. Place the raw almonds in the bowl of a blender or food processor.
  2. Process almonds until you get a fine almond meal (about 1 minute).
  3. Sift the almond meal through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl and re-process the bits that are too large to pass through the sieve.
  4. Repeat until you have no more (or very little) large bits left.
