Description

These festive patriotic chocolate-covered strawberries are perfect for celebrating 4th of July or memorial day. Gluten-free and can easily be made dairy-free too.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 20 fresh strawberries
  • 1 cup white chocolate or white chocolate chips
  • Patriotic sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Melt White Chocolate: Break the white chocolate into pieces and place in a bowl. Melt in the microwave in 30-second bursts, stirring in between with a spatula. Let it cool slightly while keeping it runny enough to dip strawberries.
  2. Dip into Chocolate: Holding each strawberry by the stem, dip it about two-thirds of the way into the white chocolate. Let any excess drip off.
  3. Coat with Sprinkles: For easier handling, place dipped strawberries on a tray to let the chocolate set slightly. Then dip the bottom third into sprinkles.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Lay the decorated strawberries on parchment paper and allow the chocolate to set completely.

Notes

Strawberries: Make sure to use fresh strawberries as they will look better than frozen strawberries.

White Chocolate: If you are lactose-intolerant, go ahead and use dairy-free white chocolate instead.

Sprinkles: To go with the 4th of July festivities, we are using patriotic sprinkles for the red, white and blue theme.
