  • Chocolate Chips: I used semi-sweet chocolate chips, but you may also use dark chocolate chips or milk chocolate chips if you like.
  • Condensed Milk: Make sure you use sweetened condensed milk for its consistency and sweetness.
  • Pecans: Since this is a pecan fudge, pecans are a key ingredient here. However, go ahead and swap it out with other types of unsalted nuts instead (such as peanuts, almondspistachioscashewsmacadamia nuts etc).

How to Make Chocolate Pecan Fudge (Step by Step):

1. Line and Spray

Line an 8×8-inch baking pan or similar sized pan with foil or parchment.  Lightly spray with non-stick baking spray and set aside.

2. Melt Chocolate Chips in Condensed Milk

In a microwave safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Stir to combine. Heat for one minute.  Carefully remove and stir well.

If needed, heat for an additional 30 seconds and stir until smooth. Mixture will be thick.

3. Stir in Pecans and Caramel

Stir in the chopped pecans and a cup of caramel sauce.

4. Transfer Mixture to Pan

Transfer the homogeneous fudge mixture to the lined baking pan. Press the mixture into the bottom and smooth it out into an even layer.

5. Drizzle with More Caramel

Drizzle with additional caramel sauce.

6. Sprinkle with Pecans

Sprinkle with additional chopped pecans on top and press into the fudge to adhere.

7. Chill Until Set

Allow to set at room temperature for about 4 hours or in the fridge for about 2 hours.

8. Serve and Enjoy

Once the chocolate pecan fudge has fully set, slice it into pieces and serve.
