Notes

Mayonnaise: Mayonnaise is the base of Cane’s dipping sauce, so make sure you add it in. If you are Celiac or gluten-intolerant, make sure to use gluten-free mayonnaise. If you are allergic to eggs or would like to keep this recipe egg-free or vegan, you can use vegan mayonnaise instead.

Ketchup: Tomato ketchup gives the copycat Cane’s dipping sauce the pinkish color and sweet tones. If you are Celiac or gluten-intolerant, make sure to use gluten-free tomato ketchup.

Worcestershire Sauce: Worcestershire sauce adds umami flavor to this homemade Cane’s sauce. If you are Celiac or gluten-intolerant, make sure to use gluten-free Worcestershire sauce.

Black Pepper: Adding a sprinkle of ground black pepper adds a kick of spice.

Cajun Seasoning: For extra heat, I’ve added Cajun seasoning, but feel free to leave it out if you’re not a big fan of heat.

Garlic Powder: Garlic powder adds beautiful flavor to the sauce, and is an essential ingredient. Make sure you add it in.

Storing: To store, place the homemade Cane’s sauce in a small airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
