Units Scale

Instructions

  1. Cook Spinach: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the fresh spinach leaves with 1 tablespoon of water until they are wilted and soft, not dry or crunchy (you should get 1 cup of wilted spinach). Transfer the cooked spinach to a bowl.
  2. Squeeze Out Excess Water and Chop: Squeeze the wilted spinach to get rid of excess liquid and chop the spinach finely, then place the spinach in a large bowl.
  3. Combine Spinach With Other Ingredients: Add the dairy-free cream cheese, dairy-free mozzarella, dairy-free parmesan, salt, granulated onion and garlic to the bowl with spinach. Thoroughly mix all the ingredients so that they are evenly mixed.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Serve the gluten-free spinach dip with crackers, toast, tortillas chips or vegetable crudités and enjoy!

Notes

Spinach: I used fresh spinach, removing the stems so only the leaves remain. Alternatively, you can also use 2 cup of frozen spinach (simply run the frozen spinach under warm water to defrost and then squeeze out any excess water).

Sour Cream: I used dairy-free sour cream to keep this recipe dairy-free. Alternatively, if you are not lactose-intolerant, feel free to use normal sour cream instead.

Cream Cheese: I used dairy-free cream cheese to keep this recipe dairy-free, but feel free to use normal cream cheese if you are not lactose-intolerant.

Parmesan Cheese: I used dairy-free Parmesan cheese to keep this recipe dairy-free. Alternatively, if you are not lactose-intolerant, feel free to use normal sour cream instead.

Mozzarella Cheese: I used dairy-free mozzarella cheese to keep this recipe dairy-free, but feel free to use normal cream cheese if you are not lactose-intolerant.

Granulated Garlic: Adding granulated garlic adds a delicious flavor to the dip, so be sure to include it in. Alternatively you can use garlic powder instead.

Granulated Onion: Granulated onion also lends extra flavor to this spinach dip. You can also use onion flakes too if you prefer.

Storing: To store, place the gluten-free spinach dip in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
