Description

Wow your guests this holiday season with this baked brie with jam and pecans, an effortlessly elegant appetizer that is comforting, tasty and a definite crowd pleaser. Naturally gluten-free too.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 round Brie cheese
  • 2 tablespoons jam (fig, raspberry, cranberry, cherry, or strawberry)
  • 2 tablespoons pecan halves
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 rosemary sprig (optional, for decoration)

Instructions

  1. Preheat & Line: Preheat the oven to 340F (170C) and line a baking dish with parchment paper.
  2. Place on Baking Dish: Place Brie on parchment paper in a baking dish. Score the top without cutting through completely.
  3. Sprinkle with Toppings: Spread jam over the top, sprinkle with chopped pecans, drizzle with maple syrup, and add chopped rosemary.
  4. Bake & Serve: Bake for 5–6 minutes, just until soft but not melted through. Serve immediately, transferring carefully to a plate. Enjoy warm with crackers, nuts, and extra jam.

Notes

Brie: Since this is a recipe for baked brie, brie is an essential ingredient. Make sure to use an round of brie, as the rind helps to hold the melted cheese together.

Pecans: I like using pecan halves, but feel free to use other types of chopped nuts if you prefer.

Maple Syrup: I used maple syrup, but you can also drizzle another type of liquid sweetener (such as honey or agave nectar).

Rosemary: Garnishing the baked brie was a sprig of rosemary adds a festive feel to this appetizer, but you can also use other fresh herbs of your choice (such as thyme or chives).

Don’t Overbake: Brie cheese should stay intact but gooey inside.
