Description

Ready in 10 minutes, these easy rainbow fruit skewers are a fun refreshment and healthy dessert for picnics, potlucks or bbq parties – they’ll add a pop of color to any table! Naturally gluten-free and vegan too!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 raspberries
  • 10 strawberries
  • 10 slices mandarin oranges
  • 10 cubes mango (peeled, diced)
  • 10 cubes pineapple (fresh or canned)
  • 10 slices kiwi (peeled, sliced)
  • 10 green grapes
  • 10 red grapes
  • 10 blueberries

Instructions

  1. Red Fruits: Take wooden skewers and start by placing a raspberry at the very end. Make sure to use a big or medium-sized raspberry so that it holds well. Wash the strawberries, remove the stems, and slide them onto the skewer, positioning them close to the raspberry.
  2. Orange and Yellow Fruits: Add a slice of mandarin orange, followed by a piece of mango and a chunk of pineapple.
  3. Green, Purple and Blue Fruits: Next, place a slice of kiwi, a green grape, and a purple grape if there is enough space. Finally, finish with a blueberry.
  4. Serve with Dip of Choice: Serve the fruit kabobs immediately for the best freshness and taste.

Notes

Size of Fruits: I recommend cutting the mango and pineapple in evenly-sized cubes or chunks so the skewers have a more uniform feel.

Serve Immediately for Freshness: The skewers are best prepared just before eating to prevent oxidization. Alternatively, you can prepare them and store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator to maintain freshness before serving.
