Recipe Notes + Substitutions:

  • Turkey Breast: I used skinless, boneless turkey breast. However, if you prefer, you can also use chicken breast if you prefer.
  • Panko Breadcrumbs: I used gluten-free panko breadcrumbs to keep this recipe dairy-free. However, if you are not Celiac or gluten-intolerant, go ahead and use regular panko bread crumbs instead.
  • Seasonings: To add flavor, I’ve used ground black pepper and granulated garlic. However, feel free to add other condiments that you prefer (such as onion powder, garlic powder, or even ground paprika for a kick of heat).
  • Eggs: The eggs help to bind the breading mixture with the turkey meat, so make sure to include them in.
  • Olive Oil: I used extra virgin olive oil, but you can also use other types of vegetable oil (such as sunflower oil, corn oil, avocado oil, etc).

How to Make Homemade Turkey Nuggets:

Toast Bread Crumbs: Toast the gluten-free panko breadcrumbs in a dry pan over low heat for 3–4 minutes, stirring constantly.
Breadcrumb mixture in bowl.
Prepare Breading Mixture: In a large bowl, mix the toasted gluten-free panko breadcrumbs with ground black pepper and granulated garlic.
