Description

This flavorful and creamy 5-ingredient mango milkshake is the perfect cold beverage for hot summer afternoons! Ready in 5 minutes, it’ll cool you off as well as satisfy your sweet tooth at the same time, making it the perfect combo. Gluten-free and easily made dairy-free too.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 fresh mango, peeled, seed removed and diced (approximately 2 cups diced)
  • 1 cup vanilla ice cream
  • 3 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice

Instructions

  1. Blend Ingredients Except Ice: Place the vanilla ice cream, mango pieces (reserve a little for serving) and vanilla bean paste in a high-speed blender. Beat until you get a homogeneous thick mixture.
  2. Add Ice: Add ice cubes and blend.
  3. Add Milk: Pour in the milk, close the blender with a lid and beat at medium speed for 1 minute until you get a homogeneous mixture.
  4. Serve and Enjoy: Drink up and enjoy this deliciously refreshing mango milkshake!

Notes

Mangoes: I like using fresh mangoes when they’re in season, but if you don’t have access to fresh mangoes, frozen mangoes will work just as well!

Vanilla Ice Cream: Adding vanilla ice cream will make this delicious mango shake super creamy. If you are lactose-intolerant, go ahead and use dairy-free vanilla ice cream instead.

Milk: I used regular milk, but if you are lactose-intolerant, go ahead and use an unsweetened non-dairy milk of choice (almond milk, cashew milk, oat milk, rice milk etc).

Vanilla Extract: I like adding a bit of vanilla extract for extra flavor, but if you don’t have it on hand, feel free to leave it out.

Ice: Smaller ice cubes will be easier on your blender (depending on how powerful it is).
